Welcome to the best site on the net!!! Your at the right place for all your questions Chevelle related!! You wont have to wonder about much, as just about any question will recieve several responses, and most of the time in agreement with each other. Check out the search function, you will find a vast amount of info in regards to SB/BB swap. No frame modifications required, you should insure you have the correct frame mounts that bolt to the crossmember. Some will say that the 307 small block mounts work fine, and many are using them for their BBC'c. It's a easy swap, about the tuffest deal is scoring all the brackets / pulleys for alt, PS pump, water pump ect. That's no big deal either, folks here can set you up with part #'s for all that. Having aspirations for a blower is cool. I do think that you would be happy with that 454 with a good old vac carb, a decent cam, dual plane intake, 9-10 to 1 compression, large oval port iron GM heads, and some 1 3/4 x 3 headers. It's a pretty easy trick to make an honest 500 hp with a streetable BBC, burn pump gas, and FRY tires on the street. Blowers are cool, spendy, unforgiving, and COOL. Save the money that you would spend on the blower and put that in to transmission and drive train. :D Have fun and enjoy the site
