I might be swapping out my rusted power window tailgate for a hand crank tailgate. Can I swap the power accessories onto the hand crank one?

i dont know, but i wanted to comment on how fortunate you are to have found a replacement @ all. I've been looking for 7 months now to no avail for my beaten beauty.

It would be almost unimaginable to me that GM would have had different tailgates for power / non-power cars. The window regulator, however, is very likely to be different. As long as you're bringing your power regulator with you, you should be fine.

68nomad, a good one of those is getting pretty hard to find. good luck.
mwilber & Jack, i am not sure about 64 but, 68 to 72 tailgates are different and not interchangable between the power and non power windows. it is very simple to see. the power gate has a round key bezzel. the manual has a hand crank. the steel skin is specific to its application. the handel is indented into the skin the power key bezzel is not. you might be able to cut and splice that area. but i am not even sure the rest is the same. also it does not apply to you but just wanted to mention that the 2 way gates and the one way gates are not interchangable at all. but i guess you could cut the skin off and interchange that.
