I'm assuming they are all made by dynacorn these days, which isn't really of great concern to me.
How is the fit/quality of the SS hood?
I also see there is a 2" steel cowl hood available, I have seen them on ebay for about $500 shipped. Does anyone have one of these, and how do they stack up?
I checked the review section and there was only 1, but I'm just looking for additional comments.
Thanks!

my 67 hood had to be reshaped, along with the new fenders and doors. Look in the body shop section of my website.

On our '69 hood, I had to file out the holes for the hood grilles as the inner and outer panels didn't line up very well. The inner panel had dents that had to be put there before the inner and outer halves were hemmed together. Other than that the hood fit reasonably well. The fenders were another story. You are not done spending money just because you bought the parts, unless you want to do all the fitting yourself. Find good original parts if you can at all. I would consider new stuff a last resort.

I just put a new '66 SS hood on my '66 and it didn't fit too bad at all. Had to build up the front corners with a little weld bead because they were way too rounded and needed to be squared off. Other than that it fit really good. From what I have been hearing, the fit of these after market hoods is fairly good but still pretty hit and miss as to exactly how good. Sometimes you get lucky like I did and sometimes they require a lot of tweaking. Nothing beats an original hood or fender but the price keeps most of us out of the market.

I just installed a new 2" cowl hood on my 66 fit very nice but dont care to much for the thin gage metal. And yes it is also dynocorn
