Can I shot urethane primer through a old type siphon gun or do I need a HVLP gun and If I do need an HVLP what type, I think there are different ones for different stages of painting aren't there???

I sprayed a color-tinted Urathane primer on the front end of my 70 Chevelle in the Fall. I used an inexpensive HVLP gun at the auto hobby shop. I think it was the type sold at Tractor Supply for $100 (Ingersol Rand??).

Did a great job.

If you don't mind spending money check out ACCU-SPRAY Pro pac It's got two air caps three needle jets and three jet needles. A very adjustable gun. It comes with all instructions of set up and paint lists. Sprays metalic great gold silver it dosent matter how you put it on it comes out perfect everytime. Hardly no over spray.
