My windshield moldings sit off of the glass a little over 1/8". I think that this is where I am getting a large amount of wind noise. Should the molding butt against the glass if the glass is installed correctly, or should there be a gap? If there is a gap, how much should it be? This is NOT an original windshield, and it's urethaned in. It's coming out so I can paint the dash, and I want to install it correctly. Thanks for the help.

Should fit flush. Sounds like either the glass is thinner or urethane not thick enuff.(or both) Since you're taking it out, dry fit it to get glass at proper height. Some guys like urethane, some 5/16" ribbon. If glass is thinner, maybe even 3/8" is needed.

Thanks for the info. That's kinda what I thought had happened. I think I'll measure the distance from the edge of the roof and A pillar to the glass & raise it about 1/8" when the windshield is reinstalled. smile.gif
Thanks again.
