Sorry if this is a silly question :o but;

I'm replacing the front sway bar on a '67.

Should I have the front end aligned after installation or does the sway bar have no impact on alignment?

No need for an alignment

One more Question... (of course :))

What size is the bolt that attaches the bushings to the frame? I assume its standard but it may be a fine thread?

I can't remember what size, but I know they are coarse-thread. I think they're 5/16".

Although some people use regular grade 8 bolts they actually are a special bolt with a raised collar.:waving:

Uhhhh... mine look nothing like that. They are about 1" long self-tappers either 5/16" or 3/8" attaching the sta-bar brackets to the frame.

Those are control arm bolts that attached the front lower control arms and all rear control arms to the frame/axle.

Yes, my mistake, when I read attach bushings to the frame I thought we were talking about the lower control arm bushings to the frame. Now that I have reread the thread I see I was wrong and we were talking about sway bar bushings to the frame. They are self tapping bolts.:o
