What is the best way to remove glass darkening film. The stuff I have on my car is really hazy and scratched and it makes it very difficult to see out at night.

Thanks,
Kevin C

There is a glue remover chemical sold in most places that sell the tint. First pull off the tint film and then apply the remover per instructions.

I got mine off by using a razor blade to get the film off (once started, it will peel off in strips). Then I used the cleaner/degreaser stuff that you wipe the car down with before shooting paint. Worked like a champ!

If you use the razor blade , be aware that the regular razor blade can scratch the glass ( I did it to mine) and that there are plastic (honest) razor blades for removing tint films.

I've used lemon scent ammonia(better smell)and just spray it on liberally and let stand for a few minutes, then use a razor blade to get it sarted at an edge, and peeled it off..worked good an my VW commuter car.It even takes off the glue that may stick to the window afterwards..It does work better in the heat.sometimes window tinters will spray this inside and close the doors for about an hour to "sweat it off"

Been there, done that. Use rubbing alcohol! works great & is very inexpensive.

The easiest way to remove window tint is use the same thing it is applied with....a soapy solution.... and a good razor blade!
