keithb Mar 6th, 07, 5:47 PM I also forgot to say I will be using stock style 69-72 front disk brakes, and using stock drums in the back

None that I ever found ......you will need to the wheels custom made for a true stock look .....Wheel Vintiques has a version that works
novaderrik Mar 6th, 07, 6:23 PM the only 15X8 steel wheels i know of were the rally's on 70's Corvettes, and the 80's/early 90's pickups.
the pickup wheels won't work because they are a 5X5 bolt pattern, and the dog dishes won't work on them or the Vette wheels anyways.
keithb Mar 6th, 07, 6:36 PM how about any other size wheels. I would like to stay with 15" they dont have to be 100% looking correct but close

Bill,

I have a pair of 15x8" and a pair of 15x7" plain steel wheels that accept dog dish caps on order thru Jegs from Wheel Vintiques for my '66 wagon.
Both wheels are offered in a 4 1/4" BS and have been on order for nearly a month.
Item 939-62-5834044 is the 8" wheel and cost about $70 ea.
Item 939-62-5734044 is the 7"...cost $67 ea.

fabio Mar 6th, 07, 8:14 PM I have those wheels that bill is selling and can vouch for him as a great seller. I think mine are 15" but I do have disk up front and the dog dish. I will see if I can get a picture up tommorow.
548chevelle Mar 7th, 07, 2:39 PM My 69 came with dog dish and 15" rally wheels. I took them off when I got a set of original Derbies and trim rings for $100 at the Etown swap meet.

novaderrik Mar 7th, 07, 3:05 PM how'd you have dog dish hubcaps on rally wheels?
548chevelle Mar 7th, 07, 4:38 PM I just checked that the dog dish hubcaps fit the Wheel Vintiques 15X8 rallye wheels. No problemo.
keithb Mar 7th, 07, 7:07 PM ok I like the sound of these wheels. if I get 4 15x7 wheels what offset and backspacing do I need?

Does anyone make these in aluminum?? -or is it not worth reproducing in aluminum??
64SS427 Aug 16th, 07, 1:15 AM I found a set of 15x7 on an early 80's caprice in the boneyards about 10 years ago. It still had the 4.75 bolt pattern. They accepted dog dishes just fine.
