Ok, I had a post on here about the differences in 68/69 hoods and hinges. Well, I got some really good responses which helped in my understanding of a few things. But, a trip to a local junkyard today just made things things worse. They had 2 '69 Chevelles and a '68, all of which had their hood hinges. I got to see the differences in the series 1 hinges and the 2nd series hinges. Well, the hinges on our car match neither! On all of the '69 style hinges I noticed that the rear hole for the hood (closest to windshield) was on top of the bump while the hinges on our car have the rear mounting hole infront of the bump. Does anyone know what kind of car these hinges might be from. If this is a bad description I can email a photo of what we have if anyone thinks that they might be able to identify the hinges. Unfortunately all the hinges at the yard were pretty corroded so using a set of them is not possible.
