I have a 350 out of 78 Camaro RS. Can anyone tell the hp output of this eng?

Not really... about the best description would be "very low".

It was "rated" at about 165 HP if it was a 2-barrel, or about 180 HP if it had a 4-barrel. The motor itself was identical between the 2 (or for that matter, to a 350 in about any other car or truck), the only difference being the carb & intake. As to what it actually puts out now, who knows.

If it's stock....not enough that's for sure.

Best way to tell is throw it on the dyno.

No disrespect, but why would anyone want to spend $450 to dyno a '78 stock 350?

Damn where does it cost $450 to dyno an engine?

In my hometown of Indianapolis, a local dyno owner quoted me $100 for 3 dyno pulls.

$400-$450 a day for an engine dyno in most places in Texas. I've never heard of one that priced it by the number of pulls? It's the same price here for 1 pull or 100. I still don't know why you would want to spend the time or the $100 to find out that a used '78 350 can't break 200HP? Maybe you mean on a chassis dyno? He said the engine "came out of" a Camaro, so I am guessing it is not in a car now.
