Here's a picture of my front right body mount. Suggestions on fixing it? Does someone make replacements that I can have welded in?

How original do you want it to be? You can make your own from some angle iron. Or have some flat steel bent.

I don't need original. Can I just reinforce what's there, or do I need to cut the old out? If I put a new piece on top, it shouldn't affect the height of the body relative to the frame, right?

From your picture it looks like the core suppt. to frame bracket. Haven't seen any of those brackets separate from suppt. Come only with support. I purchased a repro suppt. for my 66 Elky, don't know what supplier made it, but I was not impressed. Have seen several posts, including one today, seems all are not thrilled with repro's. If you try to make your own piece you may find that core suppt. is too thin and rusted to weld to. Do replace bushing and bolt when doing this project. They are available from GU or Elcamino store, etc. All major vendors have them. The question is, original style, or poly-urethane etc. If you are handy and are successful in making a piece, remember that it is OK to shim under core suppt. between bushing and suppt. to level front sheetmetal. In other words if you are going to err, err on having new brkt. slightly too high, if off at all. Still it may be worth trying a complete support from GU, or your preferred vendor, they are about $130.00+ All depends on skill level and $$$$ available. Good Luck! Karl

Thanks for the info Karl. Didn't realize I was looking at the radiator core support, which by the way, is pretty rusty on the bottom and probably needs replaced as well.
I'll keep an eye on pauls' post to see what problems I can expect swapping it out.
