1968 Chevelle Malibu

Just installed the Covan Classic dash followed the wiring diagram, but when I push the brake the LEDS for the signals light up... any ideas on what the problem may be?

Also for the license plate we are looking for some type of solenoid that when switched on inside the car has a rod that pushes and stays outward that way we can have it lower the license plate. any ideas on where i might find this?

That happens when your 4 ways are on . Check to see if you have the switch pulled on the column. Your 4 way flasher maybe not functioning right or missing.
