california car cover makes waterproof cover kinda costly but a good product tarps always end up coming off

A tarp can do more harm than good in some ways. It will hold the moisture all through the car like a steam room. A cover that turns the rain but let the air in will be much better. If you do use a tarp, Take it off every day or two so the car can dry out.
I know you don't get much rain up there, But it will get moisture under the tarp. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
Technalon E4, best cover made. Not one for everyday use. My budduy bought a knock off for 1/2 what I paid, but couldn't stand up to the wind. Ended up shredded.
I got mine from YO.

I love mine. Keep it anchored down right and it's a God-send. http://tempo-inc.com/en/index.html
Paid about 400$ Canadian. Got it at Costco.
