I have some areas on my camino that need to be fixed from idiots slamming their doors into my quarter panels. How can I go about fixing the dent without shooting the entire 1/4 again??

I have patched a small area on the front fender, but the results were not great. The paint looks really good when its buffed and polished though.

You can shoot only the repair area and blend the rest of the panel, but blending is a little difficult to master and should be left to experienced painters.

I did this okay on my other 1/4 but you can kinda see where it was patched. I know its not going to be perfect, I just want to rid the dent. I painted the whole car so a little patching should be pretty simple. How much back should I featheredge the paint from the dent? and should I use putty or a small patch of bondo. The dent is only about the diameter of a marble.

MARTINSR posted an excellent reply on the art of applying body filler. Do a search on this subject using his username and body filler as a subject. If he's reading this, he can probably provide you with a link.
