Does antone know how many 1969 Chevelle's came painted this color? Is this a rare color?

Well krum, I can't help you with the numbers but I did actually look at an Olympic Gold L78 Hardtop in St. Louis last fall when I was shopping for a car. Can't say I've seen many that color.

My 69 elco was original that color. Probably would look cool with some black stripes. maybe ill paint my elco back to gold. Hmmm, anyone got a pic of a gold 69 El Camino?

I've seen a Yenko 427 Chevelle this color with white, not black stripes. Original. also a 69 SS 396 Camaro with white bumble bee stripe. I like the color. Not many at all I'll bet less than 5% For Chevelles

Olympic Gold, code 65, appears to be a '69 only color and doesn't seem to be real common. I saw a '69 SS in that color with white SS stripes and it was sharp.

A friend's father owned a '69 Camaro in that colour. That car was a dead ringer for the one on the cover of the Nova/Camaro accessories brochure printed in '69, right down to the wire wheel covers. Unfortunately it was totalled in '76 or '77.
Certainly an uncommon Chevelle colour. Make mine a 300-deluxe post with a black vinyl roof and redlines, and either an L78 or L89.

My fremont assembled Malibu was originaly this color. It is still on the tops of the door's, under the skins so I can match it up someday. My painter thought If we ever repaint this color it would look awesome.

My wife's and my '69 SS is Olympic Gold.

The color was one of the things that led us to pick it out from the other Chevelles we saw.

Ours is supposed to have the white vinyl top and white stripes but one of the previous owners changed the top and stripes to black when they restored the body.

I would really like to change the black back to white but my wife and I think it looks better in black.
