Looking to do so sealing of the fire wall. Need recommendations. Do I use a soft sealer and hoe do you apply to get the "Factory look". Also, where do I get & what is the best type to work with. Thanks

First make sure you have all of your primer work done before applying the seam sealer. I prefer using a sealer made by 3-M, it is a urethane based product and comes in white and grey. You will need to borrow a special calking gun because the sealer is packaged in disposable tubes similar in shape to that of breakfast sausage. I will try and get the part number for you tonight while I'm in the garage. You will need to run a bead of sealer approximately 1/2 inch in diameter for the length of the entire seam then tool with a coarse bristle general purpose disposable brush until factory appearance is achieved. Do a practice run on a piece of cardboard or similar to verify the brush leaves the proper texture. The sealer has a work life of about 5 minutes so only do one seam at a time. After an overnight cure it will be ready for a coat of epoxy or sealer. This stuff works excellent and will not be suseptable to shrinkage and cracking like the oem product.
