I like a good NATURED FOOL I loaned out my set of digital mics the 4" TO 5" MIC COMES BACK LOOKING LIKE SOME IDIOT USED IT FOR A WELDING CLAMP, AND THE 2" TO, 3" IS MISSING, SO im IN THE MARKET FOR A COUPLE NEW digital micrometers ANY SUGGESTIONS?? THE LAST SET I BOUGHT COST SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS, SO I WAS HOPEING THEY ARE CHEAPER NOW??

"as well as another person to put on your list of 'who not to loan tools to'"

yeah IM always amazed at people that borrow tools, screw them up beyond recognition and return them without offering to replace them......never loan out anything less sturdy or more expensive than a rusty DIGGING BAR

Thats why I don`t loan my good tools out. My mics are from Fowler. Not the most expencive but pretty good mics for what I need them for.

If someone wants the tools let him buy them from the same store you got them from, he'll be a damned site more careful when the expense of replacing them comes home. If he gets mad, good, he wasn't a very good friend anyhow. You might show him this forum as a hint, but it sounds like he is a cheap D.A. anyhow and i'd loose his number and suggest he replace your expensive mics. P.S..... Good tools are even more expensive now than when you bought them.

I don't loan tools at all, you need to use it, bring it to my garage, we'll fix it here. I can barely afford the tools I got, not to mention replacing them.
