Help me pick a new color for my `69! It is currently Concorde Blue, a GM fleet color.

I once saw a mid 60 vette that was a factory dark blue and it looks great but anything will be considered. (The car has a parchment interior)

Also, I was thinking of the side stripe but am not sure.

If you have any pics that would be usefull in choosing a color, please send to: chris.langan@videotron.ca

Thanks!

If you want blue, two '69 colors that look good IMO are Dusk Blue and Lemans Blue. With a white side stripe and Parchment interior, either would look very nice. What is the paint code on the cowl tag?

What is the paint code on the cowl tag? Well, originally the color of the car is 71, Lemans blue. It also had the dark blue vinyl top. Lemans blue is a bit too baby blue for me. Also, it seems every car I see lemans blue looks different. i.e. some are darker/lighter than others.

As you mentioned, Dusk blue, code 51 seems interesting but I have never seen a picture of one. Looked on the web for hours and no dice. Would you have a picture of it?

I once saw a 67 chevelle in the original dark blue and it was pretty nice.

Thanks,

I don't have a photo of Dusk Blue but it's a very sharp color. It's a darker shade (not as dark as Fathom Blue though) with a purplish hue to it. Very nice.

Not sure why, but I have a thing for Monaco orange, but I also really like Burnished brown, with white vynil top and interior.....Code 55 Azure Turqois is nice too.

That, by far, is one of my all time favorite color combos on 69's...I cannot explain why. Just looks real clean and sleeper like and you just do not see it very often.

CB03, there was one with that combo, a convert, I talked with the owner for quite some time. Just a damn fine color combo and gets better the more you look at it. Gets my vote.

My suggestions:

1. Midnight black, with white doors.
2. Tomato Red with a white inverted 'hockey stick' decal like that Chevelle had on 'Starsky and Hutch'.
3. Since everyone does red with SS stripes, how about something different like red with sideways SS stripes over the hood and down both doors?
4. Cotton candy pink metalflake with lemon yellow interior.

Patriot Blue Pearl (2000 Chrysler color)! Seems everyone wants a red one This color is a little more subtle on a 69 Chevelle. In low light it looks almost black, in bright sunlight it has blue highlights, and the pearl looks great up close. Looks great with a black vinyl top and interior but would probably look better with white top and parchment interior. I also painted the ralley wheels to match, and added diamond pearl stripes (like the 70 SS stripes), but not everybody likes the striped look. I'll send pictures.
