: Where can I connect the hot wire on my electric choke? Check6 Feb 28th, 07, 9:53 AM I'm installing a new carb with electric choke. Directions say to connect the hot wire to a keyed 12 volt source. Must be 12 volts all the time with the key on. Any ideas where I can tap in? This is a 396 engine. Thanks, Fred Yes it is Lemans blue, I painted it back it's original color but made the mistake of using single stage lacquer.:o It needs redoing now since it's getting pretty chipped up and rusting out under the vinyl top. I just tapped my choke into the HEI power feed because it was the closest. It seems to work fine. Check6 Mar 1st, 07, 5:51 AM I checked my wiper motor but I don't see a yellow wire going there .
