I have a 72 velle wagon with a 350 engine. If I install vortec heads, will the factory a/c bracket bolt to the vortec manifold??

If not, is there a solution for this?

yes, it will bolt up.
at least on a performer Vortec.

Derrick, got a pic or 2? I'll be running into the same problem with my AIR GAP soon. Might just do a serp swap instead, but I already have the old compressor and brackets, just don't have them unearthed right now to see.

nope, i don't have any pics of that.
i never personally hooked up the AC on my Nova- it didn't have it- but the threaded holes were there where the AC bracket goes. as long as you stick to stock height valve covers, there will be no problems.

I might be misunderstanding but I believe my a/c bracket, the one that goes over the valve cover, attaches to the two manifold bolts adjacent to the carburetor.

I looked at a pic of the vortec manifold on summit's site and only see the two manifold mounting holes? Are there other holes the a/c bracket hooks to?

I was hoping the angle of the bolts in the vortec wouldn't affect the install of the a/c bracket using the two manifold mounting holes.

Forget my last post. I went out and checked the car. There are two vertical threaded holes for the a/c bracket.

That's what I get for thinking before I have my morning Mt. Dew. lol

OOOps. Mine are a little taller. Gonna have to do some cleaning this spring to get to it I see.

Thanks
