If it is nice, I don't want any excuses about something not working or my car is sounding funny. If anyone needs help getting there car ready (anytime not just this week) put out a yell and we will try and rally and help out... That should also go for anyone who has or needs parts for their rides. Put out a yell.
Are you in...:beers: :beers: :beers:

BTW- Where is Burger Master ?

Bothell Everett Highway about the 19500 block.

I'll probably start out up in Clearview at the MCdonalds cruise-in at 5, and then meander down to Bugermaster around 7ish.

In case anyone else wants to hit to get to clearview first-

Take Bothell Everett highway North to 180th ST
Turn Right on 180th- Go straight for about 5 miles
Turn left onto Highway 9
Turn left at the first stoplight (you will see a Mcdonalds on the corner)
Turn Right into the parking lot

Park where the classic cars are :D

BurgerMaster is about 2 miles to the North on Bothell Everett Highway if you're coming from I-405. The exit is about 3 miles down 405 from I-5.
Does that help?

This is the correct address for the Clearview cruise in...

Bothell/Everett Hwy is exit #26 on I-405. Yelm is kind of far, but it will be nice to meet you. (I grew up in Tenino and still race hydroplanes on Lawrence lake) If you come up I-5, take the I-405 exit south just past Lynnwood and Exit #26 is the first exit, turn left(north) and follow ben's directions above to Clearview. On the way to clearview you will go by Burgermaster, it will be on your left. See you all Saturday.

Ben, I may have found a set of original '68 SS fender emblems. I cannot remember which one you said were correct for your car. He said he thinks they say SS with the 396 under that and will look for me this weekend. He's an old timer that has been friends with my dad for years and has lots of parts and pieces off many cars. I will let you what I find out and hopefully they are the set you are looking for. I have not contacted your friend with the wheels yet, had to repair the wifes daily driver with most of the income tax return. If he still has them in early April I'll buy'em. Thanks for the lead and have fun playing in the snow.

I suppose I should also post some pics of me while I am at it. This is a picture of me and my scratch built aircraft. It is one of a kind. This is my other hobby which consumed almost all of my time growing up, before I got into cars. Without airplanes I dont know what I would be doing now. Aircraft pretty much got me into all things mechanical, I am now studying mechanical engineering. Even as a little kid though I loved to take stuff apart and build things. For my moms birthday when I was young I built an exercise machine out of boxes and bungee chords. My favorite material was duct tape, I used to always get a pack for Christmas. The plane is 27 lbs and has an 80cc gasoline single cylinder 2 stroke engine. Has enough power to hover, and then accelerate upwards. For reference I stand 5' 10.5" to be exact. I love RC planes, and cant wait to fly some more this summer. These pics are taken at Marrymoore in Redmond, WA.

Sorry they are low quality. I had to scan in existing pictures as I do not have any taken with a digital camera.

lol, Frank, Frank, Frank. Talkin' more $hit... :noway: Just consider yourself lucky Im not back home. My El Camino is very fast thankyou very much! With the overdrive transmission I am actually gear limited at 174 mph, can your muncie and your lil' 468CI do that? :noway:

That airplane probably can do about 100 mph. It isnt really built for speed though, just aerobatics with lots of power. I had a 1/6 scale spitfire that would do 100 mph on fast strafing flyby's looked pretty cool. Some racing aircraft do excess of 200 mph.

Mike,

I have never actually been to a drag strip. I guess I would probably go to Bremerton? I am located in Seattle right off of 520 bridge during the summer. If I go you will have to show me the ropes. I would like to get a base time with the 350 before I build a 406, if it isnt too embarrassing slow that is. I think I am track worthy now though. I put a battery strap on it, not a bungee chord anymore. I also put in a radiator overflow bottle. Do I have to do anything else? Isnt there something about amount of rubber tubing to the carburetor for gas?

Mike, you show me the drag strip, I will teach you to fly. It is by no means easy, everyone thinks they are toys and fly themselves. However, anyone with good eye hand coordination, and a little knowledge of aircraft can learn. We have a buddy chord setup which connects 2 transmitters with chord. If you lose control, I release a switch, and now I have control. That way if you crash, its the instructors fault. If you really want to get it, I know it in and out, just ask away. :beers:

It has been awhile for me, I go and watch mostly these days. My '66 is still ready for the track but I have not run it in years. A good friend races his '65 chevelle and runs 10.30's with a streetable 427. There are a lot of cars racing and the parking lot is like a car show on the nice days. I will have to look into the rules. My fuel lines are stainless braided lines, overflow radiator tank, drive shaft hoop and battery shut off switch. Friday nights are fun for beginers and there are less cars there so you can get i more passes. I might have to look into it. My bone stock '70 should pull off a 19.0 with some tunning!

Ever seen a WWII era japanese Zero with floats? It is cool to watch it fly, my friend is working on a P-38 Lightning and it should be done by this summer. I think I'll stick to watching for now, my wife will kill me if I pick up another hobby. The boat racing with a limited team and working on turbine engines for the unlimiteds takes most of my summers. I was gone for three strait months last year towing the boats all over the country and even went to New Zealand last febuary. Won the world championships for my class there too!! I hope to be home more this summer and drive the cars some. I put about 28 miles on the '66 last year and that was to a Lake Sammamish race!

I have not seen a zero with floats, pretty sure the Japanese never put floats on the zero. I have seen a Kawasaki KI-43 something or other, that looks alot like a zero with floats. The cool thing is they have a single large float in the center, and lil' wingtip floats for stability. It leans to one side until you get enough speed to have control and just be riding on the center float. I love when they get up on step, and just glide across the water, similar to your boats I assume. I have only been float plane flying a few times. I built some really cool floats for my 1/4 scale L-4 piper cub in military camo, but sold them before I ever flew it on water.

was/am real good with them, I may get back into racing them now that I'm thinking about them.

One of the guys i work with lives on Lawrence Lake they just got done building a house there his name is larry

I moved from there last May. Ask the guy if he remembers a guy with a silver chevelle. I'll bet it's one of the guys that lived right across from me.
