Hope this does'nt sound like a dumb question but, are there torque specs for the goose neck when installing a new t-stat? I remember as a teen, I had a habit of snapping the ears off the goose neck and I would hope to be a little smarter in my older years. Thanks!

I'm sure there are specs. out there somewhere, but I have always just tightened them down with a 3/8" drive ratchet....

Don't remember the specs but as a hint, the intake manifold holds the same pressure inside the cooling system. What's that spec 25 ft lbs?

Start with that. If it leaks go to 35. I wouldn't go much higher. Use a new gasket or O ring!!
