For grease use Castrol Super Clean and to clean off rust just put some Muriatic acid in a plastic bucket and brush it on with a paint brush leave it on for a few minutes and wash off with water, if there is heavy rust you may have to do it a few times. I think most people who use that stuff have to worry about rust and like it because they can put it on with a brush. If you have access to a compressor I would use paint with a hardner added.
