My mom was driving her 70 malibu on the freeway when the front "beltline"trim piece came off. need less to say it wrecked. does anyone know where one can find one of these? i checked a couple catalogs and the only moldings they show are the lower body moldings. this runs from the front fender (at the very top of fender) back to the vinyl top trim by the back window. And what is the actual name for this piece?

What piece are you needing...on the fender, door or quarter? I have a extra pair for the fenders that I would part with, but the others I wont part with. The only places to find these is on EBAY or your local junk yard, as no resto company makes them.

You are right on the name...chrome beltline trim or sometimes referred to malibu fender trim, as only the malibu's had this trim not SS...Eric
