I am thinking of the Mac tools AS408 for $139, what others would be good for stripping paint(entire panels) to bare metal?

My old 8" was a MAC, my new one is a snap on PS200, way better unit.

National Detroit 900 would be a good or should say a great choice. I see that they released a newer version of this unit caled the HD8 I believe.

I just got this email from ND, as am looking for a new 6da as I like to update every so often anyway has a number to call

wHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE 900de OR DUST EXTRACTION can I hook it up to a shop vac? Is it worth it or will I still get allot of dust on the floor?

The last place I was at had a dustless Hutchins system, had the air file and 8" mudhog. Great piece of equipment. Hardly a speck of dust on the floor. Nice to have as those sander throw that dust all over the place, my MAC one did anyway the snappy unit doesnt as much.

If you are a clean freak like me then the dustless system is a MUST HAVE. I would have one now but worthless when the other guys you work with are friggin pigs...Eric
