I will be buying House of Kolor paints for my Velle (yes WAY ahead of myself here) and have a question. Can anyone tell me the difference between "Urethane" and "PolyUrethane"?? Which is better in durability etc and why.. Appreciate the help

A "urethane" is usually made of unique toners to a "quality" of paint. "polyuretane" is made up of "many" or "poly" urethane resins. Sometimes the Polyurethane is just a "converted" arcylic enamel and is made off the enamel mixing bank. Urethane is more of a "fleet" finish like for trucks VERY durable, but a little short on the looks department. Polyurethane is more directed towards the collision industry and more closely matches the OEM finish in appearance.

OK so which one is better?? In looks and durability combined? I can also go with a Lacquer system.. But I want something that Looks good, is durable, and can be sprayed without added difficulty. So which one should I use?

Lacquer
Urethane
PolyUrethane

Acrlic Urthane is your best for cars. It's sanding and buffability is easy providing you do it a day or two after you paint the car.

laquer is out. its a thing of the past and doesnt last.
stick with the basecoat/clearcoat system or single stage urethane
