Man am I pumped. I finally got up to the point where I could put some paint on somthing and it went better than I expected! I have a long ways to go but I got to the point where I needed to paint the cowl and the inside of the front fenders so I could assemble the front end. I have decided to paint the fenders on the car instead of trying to mount the fenders after painting them off the car. This was the first time I have used BC/CC and it has been twenty years since I attempted to spray paint a car. We won't talk about that experience.

Satr evening I taped off the fenders and the cowl and painted the inside and the top up to the hood channel and I painted the cowl and into the front hinge area of the doors which are on the car. I know I'll have a taping job ahead of me when I paint the rest of it but man, to see the BC/CC bright orange on just that much of the car was like a shot in the arm... Sunday I got one fender installed, had a little trouble and still have three bolt holes to elongate on the plastic inners but it is finally starting to come together after two years. I only had one run and a small area that had much orange peel but both are in area that is covered so I didn't need to do anything with them. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

progress has little to do with speed, but lots to do with direction.

The big reward for all those hours of sanding is always the putting the color coats on. Congratulations!
