Anybody know where I can get a couple of manifolds decoded?
A friend of mine has a 70' 454 elcamino and he want's to trade his exhaust manifolds for my new ceramic coated headers. I'm trying to keep my car as original as possible but, I don't know if these numbers are right for my car.
The pass side manifold is 3816178 T The drivers side I really couldn't get to to read but, maybe somebody can figure this out. From what I could read it looked like 8883801 but, like I said I really couldn't see it well.
Do you think this would be a good trade?

Probably start's with a 3 instead of an 8...

My book doesn't have it listed.

Does MadMike's site have exhaust manifolds listed??

I think I have his long list at work and now can't find it on the web???

I believe the 396 and 454 had the same exhaust manifolds in 70. Should be driver side #3909879 pax side #3916178.

I just looked the site over and couldn't find them on there. Looks like the 3816178 would be correct. I'm not sure about the other one. They look to be a match though. I should probably post in "whats it worth" I'm wondering if I should trade my headers even up for the manifold? I like the look of the headers but, I also like everything to look correct and original...My car is a 69' so would these be incorrect anyway? It's a 350 HP car.

These are the correct casting numbers for this application. Were made in both smog and non-smog versions. LH is actually good for mid 1967 through 1970, RH is 68-70.
