Well anyway I here they sold out to Applebees and will no longer be having any sockhops. That new walmart going in and they want to be near by. That really stinks.

A bunch of us, in the local car club, used to go quite a bit but I personally haven't been in 2 yrs. After the place changed hands a few yrs ago, it seemed to lose some of it's appeal. Back in the day, it was really jumping, esp. on sockhop nights. It's getting harder and harder to find places to go due to crowd control. As usual, a few screw it up for the majority!

That stinks! I have been there a few times, use to see a lot of cars you did'nt see at other cruise ins.:(

Usually, a sale of a local "entrenched" cruise site like Sweet Insperations would have been mentioned in the sunday morning newspaper auto section. I did not see that! It has been sold in the past and has remained as a local favorite cruise destination. Saturday nites 100 cars, sock hops, over 250 cars.

Went for the first time late last year, it was the last Cruise In of the year there and the NY debut of my Nevada Camaro. The family was looking forward to going back. Bummer
