Update:
Chassis re-introduced to the better half today. They should be rejoined and finally able to be brought home this Friday! :hurray:
Not bad for only two months since purchase...

Yeah Brad,
Those tires are the result of a panic midnight Saturday realization that I had NO wheels that would clear disc brakes for transport of the chassis.
Those are the skinnies from the set of drag wheels used on the '70.

Thanks Mark!
I told myself that I'm gonna take my 4 grandkids to the Drive-In this Summer in the wagon. Ice Cream, Popcorn, the works...back in and drop the tailgate.
That's what wagons were built for, right?

Nice work Bill. Do you do most of the work your self for assembly or are you farming it out? Either way, I am envious of your speed on this project :bow:

Jeff,
Thanks.
I did not drop the actual frame out of the car nor will I reinstall it. And, obviously didn't do the body work or paint the car. A body man I'm not!
Everything else was disassembled and was/will be reassembled by me with help from my bro-in-law who is a mechanic by trade and specializes in brakes/suspension/alignments.

Yeah Glenn...in the mid 60's yesterday and predicted 70+ later this week.
It was cool (28) yesterday (Monday) morning though.
Thanks for posting the pics.

So...

Let me get this straight...

You not only rebuild/detailed the chassis, but you also got the 396 installed with exhaust, etc...

Peach State show...yes Butch.
Nashville CB '07...I don't know yet. I'll be towing the '70 so I'd need someone to drive the '66 there. Unless I can find/borrow a double trailer.

Put a hitch on the '66... problem solved. ;)

Just took one off...frame mount.
Do you need one? I'm throwing it out.

Is it a reciever style?

My plan is to eventually tow my '69 around with Jenna's wagon, but only after the car is fast enough to start breaking stuff. :D

No Derek, only a ball mount...probably a Class 2.
I'll probably post it in the Member's Ads to see if anyone is interested.

So Bill, is that your (looks silver) 70 sitting in the garage? What's the plan for that one?

Nope...not mine. That pic (it is silver) was taken at the body shop. My '70 is nestled safely at home.
One project at a time for me. ;)
