My old Year One catalogue lists a door hinge kit for 68 and up chevelles, but nothing for 65. My driver door pin was showing wear when I disassembled the car. I was hoping to install new bushings and pins in the drivers door? Where can I get?
True connections has them listed as the same kit as 64-67 see it here true connections (http://www.true-connections.com/cat/page50.htm) . Why not give them a call to see what they say. I hear they are pretty good to deal with.

I just disassembled 3 of 4 hinges. The pins themselves look excellent. Don't need new ones. ONly the bushings seem to need replacment. Interesting things is that on the cast aluminum top hinge, the bushings were plastic. Was this stock? In any event, it would be a waste to order an entire hinge rebuild kit for a few bushings. Can I get just bushings anywhere? Didn't call true connections yet.

bhawk why not just replacing the pins bushings and be done with it-no worries? As for getting them any auto parts store should have some,if not in stock they can order them and probably be cheaper smile.gif As long as you bring in the new bushings and pins they can match them up. Try a search on the web for 2 companies, one called The Cliphouse the other J&T fastners, both have pins and bushings...Eric
