: Looking for comments before I buy

I am in the process of buying new Weld Pro Star rims for my 70 El Camino. I tried using a set of 15x10 4.5BS steel rallye rims I had laying around with 325/50/15 drag radials but have had rub issues with the fender lip.

From the database, and measurements on the car, I think that 15x10 5.5BS rear rims with the same tire size should clear (especially if I roll the fender lip some).

I am still a little up in the air about what to put on the front. According to the database it looks like 15x7 4.5BS rims are popular with 235/60/15s.

No mods that would affect tire fit have been made (as far as I know).

Any comments before I pull the trigger? Am I ok with this setup or have I made a mistake?

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about the fronts - the rears should look great if they fit - it will be tight.

Post some pics when you get them mounted!

I've got Convo Pro 15x10 w/5" bs,they fit but I had to roll the lip,a 5.5" bs would fit a little better I think.28 13.5 Quick Time Pro tire,on a '70,btw.

But don't take that as a blanket statement, folks. Some people have had to do some fenderwell work to get 325's to fit.
