: Who own a '65 with an orignal radio?
Coppertop Nov 11th, 99, 2:40 PM If you own a 1965 Chevelle or El Camino with a *factory* AM-pushbutton, AM-manual, or AM/FM-pushbutton radio....
Please e-mail me. It is in regards to research for Team Chevelle.
Thanks

I am trying to confirm that this is indeed the correct radio for 1965 Chevelles, ELKYs and related vehicles (like wagons).
Thank you. You can e-mail your responce to me or post it.

Philip Nov 12th, 99, 8:38 AM Joe, I can tell you it is not from a 64, the 64 has the civil defense symbols in 2 places on the dial, remember them? We were real paraniod of being atacked back then.

Rich-L79 Nov 12th, 99, 8:40 AM That picture sure looks the same as the AM pushbutton radio in my 65 Malibu SS. The faceplate and the knobs are definitely correct, on the radio itself it's hard to tell for sure from one picture, but it sure looks the same from what I can see.
JJ'65 Nov 12th, 99, 10:53 AM To me, it appears to be identical with the original radio in my '65 El Camino.

Coppertop Nov 12th, 99, 12:48 PM Thanks guys...
Looks like we can call this thread "good".
The whole idea was to verify a picture of a '65 radio--which indeed it was the correct Chevelle style. I'm building an image gallery of radios for Team Chevelle and am striving for 100% accuracy.
