I'm getting ready to drop a 402 into my malibu and was wondering if the 3 row radiator is sufficient for keeping it cool or if I should go with the more costly 4 row.I was told that these cme stock with the 3 row for 396. Living up here in the northwest the temps in my area are mild and rarely see the high side of 70.Thanks for any info.

Hi everyone; I guess what I'm after is what most of you out there run in your BB 66 chevelles. 3 or 4 row and if the 3 row keeps it cool enough. I figure I'll have to put a shroud on it also.My research so far shows 75.00 more for the 4 row and I'd rather use this money elsewhere. Thanks again Tony

I use an original 3 core rad. in my big block and the temp never goes over 189* even on those hotter than july days [95+] its still under 190 degres.
