How well do the factory rear defrosters on a 70-72 chevelle work?I have several setups and was going to install one in my car.Are they worth it?Is there an aftermarket type that works better? How about a stick on grid type like most new cars have?

If you are info "factory options" then its a mst have, but they don't work anywhere near as well as the newer cars do.

I have never used any aftermarket ones.

Actually, these are called "defoggers" as they have no heat to melt frost. They usually work poorly. (I once had a job in the early 1970's testing these things at the blue oval company.) I would only put one in for the novelty value.
