I am having problems with fender to door gap, I have the top of the fender and door looking good and the fender to rocker gap as well. But my problem is the gap from the fender to the door in the middle. the gap is about 1/2". the fender flush alignment with the door looks good as well as the body lines. this problem is only on the drivers side.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wish I was there. Try adding shims at the bottom, be sure ALL other upper bolts are tight. Loosen inner fender well bolts before adding shims. Is the car painted?? Karl

OOPS!! reread your post!! Do you mean that the fender is even as far as the contours lining up, and that the fender and door outer surfaces are level with each other? If so ignore my previous post. Are the door and fender unmolested original parts??? Karl

No the car is not painted. The fender and doors are originals (fender is from another car. every thing lines up great except the gap.

I am grabbing at straws, but sometimes if the front sheetmetal is shifted, or the body is not properly centered, it can result in a tight gap on one side (to door) and wide on other. Otherwise I am out of ideas with out seeing problem. good luck! Karl
