I just finished with the motor and trans and I am now looking for a reputable paint shop in the Southern California area.

Like the rest of you guys I am just a working stiff. However, in this case I am more interested in a quality paint job than pinching pennys.

Can anyone reccommend a good paint shop in Southern California, and what I might expect to pay for a quality, professional paint job.

I had a 23 T-bucket that I owned awhile ago painted at McPeak Painting. They're more for custom work (ie flames and pinstripping) but give them a call. They're in Riverside and the phone is 909-683-1292.

I'm completely happy with the work done on my car by C&L Auto Body in Arcadia. They are neither fast nor cheap, but did an outstanding job. Since you're in OC, you probably want a shop down there though.

I'm suprised you haven't heard of them - they have a terrific reputation. If you like bright red they have a very special mix "Tom's Red" that is absolutely spectacular. Many of the cars coming from that shop have been magazine feature articles.

They will have to see the car to give a paint estimate.
