Well this has been a real up and down week. Well actually last friday through today. Taking some advice from Martin and couple of the rest of you I switched to Evercoat easy sand filler from the metal to metal I was using, what a difference... love the stuff. It went so well that I was able to straighten (well straight given my limited ability) a really wavy quarter panel. I am also starting to really get a feel for this block (final, I hope) sanding using 400 and smaller paper and I suddenly found that I can fill in small sand-threws (sp?) by pulling the gun handle back until the air is on and then just sqeezing it a little to direct a fine mist onto the bare spot. Wow, what a productive day I had. got most of the body sanded, got the inside of the new front fenders primed. I was on a roll.

Then satr I hoped to finish up a small job, or at least it should have been a small job, on a remod I'm doing in my part-time business and then rush home in time to get some more work done on the car. Well the couple hour job turned into an all day both satr and sunday which meant thatnot only didn't I get any work done on the car but I also didn't get down to the MCC regional on Sunday, which meant that I didn't get to renew my memebership at the meet which expired today (it's in the mail guys honest).

Today I find out that my two week vacation starting next monday has been cut to a week and a half and that another job I promissed a guy I'd do for him has to be started this coming weekend which will, of course run into several days of my vacation. (The guy is a good buddy and he and the wife have decided to divorce and they need a ton of work done on the house so it can be appraised and sold, ASAP of course).

But if all goes well I am hoping to get the final sanding finished, the car sealed, the doors and fenders cut in and the clip back on it during the rest of my vacation. Sounds like a good goal, might not get that far, but I'm hoping... send prayers, and suggestions, and if you're in the neighborhood with time on your hands..... http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Professor, If I can arrange an overnight in the area, I'll give ya a holler. However, they've got me running so darn fast I'm likely to trip over my own feet. Hang in there, and start planning on coming to the Big M show in July http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Thanks Sid,

That would be great... keeping everything crossed to get this thing back together, but I don't want to make the mistake of rushing it and regreting it later.

I understand the tripping over yourself part.. lot of that going around.

thanks for the thought anyway
