Well, now on to the last painting. I will have to paint the black trim that goes with a vinyl top car. Before, this was just a dull black paint. I need the correct color and type of paint, any recommendations? And how do I prepare the surface of my new paint for some black trim to go on top? And, will I be able to paint my grille and other black trim with this paint?

I would use trim paint that is sold in body shop supply store, It's called SEM. And come in flat or gloss. And some in between i believe. The more coats you put on the glosser the paint will get. While you at the body shop supply store you could also pick up some 3M gray scuff pads.Or just some 1000 grit to prep the parts being painted.
