I'd like to remove the driver's side lower door hinge WITHOUT removing the door or fender. Is this possible without really boogering things up?
When I rebuilt the hinges a few years ago I replaced the detent rollers. The driver's side roller is not spinning thus the detent arm is just sliding against the roller and will eventually wear a groove in the roller and damage the arm which is why I replaced them in the first place. If there was a way to remove the roller (replaced them with screw-in studs) with the hinge in place I'd do that, but I don't think I can hold the detent arm and spring back properly nor do I think I could get an allen wench in the stud head since it is all too close to the door jamb of the main body.
Any other ideas? TIA.
