it looks kind of like the tool for compressing the little springs in door hinges that you can't ever get back in.
but that looks like a spreader of some sort.

looks more like something to pry OPEN/SEPERATE a certain part. Looks to weak to work on door springs

Not sure but it might be a tool for removing the valve keeper off the heads. Maybe

that tool is for removing valve springs from a briggs and straton lawn mower engine. Have one my self. It will also work to compress the spring that goess in a door hinge

Also used when removing valves on old 6 cylinder plymouths.

I still have dad's old tools, one like that one and a valve keeper tool for the old Plymouths, a couple of old hand crank valve grinders and my old Ford flat head valve tools.
