Hi,
Does anybody know of a source where i can get a replacement front valance panel. This is the sheet metal piece that goes between
the front bumper and front grill. I have one on order with original parts group but it is on back order and i have been unable to locate it any where. any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I have five 68 Chevelles. I mention the quantity to let you know that I have played with 68's quite abit. I have had the valance off 4 of mine. Naturally the conv, coupes,el caminos are all the same. The point I'm going to try and make here is: I have had problems interchanging one to another. There always seem to be fit and alignment problems from one car to another. That's using original 68 GM valances. I would bet big money that using an after market valance will really be a can of worms. Don't believe that crap when they tell you that it 'meets or exceeds original' form ,fit and function. There are valances out there. You just have to go to the right swapmeet or hookup with the right junkyard. Keep looking for an original!

We also have been looking for an "Original" valance panel, as we have heard that the "REPOPS" are J--?
Having said that, the price of the actual metal content is $4.67 +/-.
Therefore, the cutting/pressing =s $$$$s =s $70.00 (+/-).
No "Bashing" here, just the "Facts" mamm, just the "Facts"!
