I have a holley 600 carb with electric choke and would like to know what gage wire to use for power supply to the choke?
I have 18 gage, is that heavy enough?
thanks for the help!

18 should be sufficient. I believe that is what I have used in the past. But a more "expert" opinion will come up soon I'm sure.

I have an 18 gauge on my holley's electric choke and no problems after several years.

More important to the gauge is hte surrouding insulator. It'll get plenty hot and maybe even banged around some, so don't go using speaker wire. But I'm sure most black or red colors (power) wire will do fine. :)

Edit, I just remembered something. The ground side of the choke is usually connected to the carb body via a short jumper wire. Use this wire size as a basis for you powr lead. Error on the larger size based on how far away the source is. I"m sure you'll be ok just duplicating that size, which is something small like an 18 or 20AWG.
