Cody,

I used Eastwood's rust encapsulator on my '71 Nova. Unfortunately I didn't take any pics and I sold it not too long ago. But it seemed a ton easier to use than the POR-15 stuff. I still have an unopened can of the encapsulator saved if I ever need it. I think it was good stuff. I also used their Chassis Black spray paint. It was okay. If I did it again I may use something else. Whatever you choose good luck.

Cody, I used the Eastwood rust encapsulator on the underbody of my Chevelle. I sandblasted what little rust was there, but mainly to improve adhesion. I spayed it on and it covers very well like primer. I ended up painting it 60% gloss black enamel. I still haven't got it back on the frame yet, but here is a piture of it before I shot the black enamel: Chevelle (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/Mike72ss/Nov23_22.JPG)

I like it much better than the POR-15 which I have on the frame.

This is what they formerly called Corroless, is it not? I though Corroless was available in chassis black at one time.

i used it on my whole chassis and underbody, great stuff also used on my inside floors,,,little dull but acts as a great primer if you wish....much nicer to spray on then brush on like por-15.....

Hi Cody, I have used Eastwoods Corroless, which they now call Rust Encapsulator. I have used it on several applications on two different 69 Chevelles. On one of the Chevelles I had cleaned, and preped properly, the entire floor pans (inside only) , and also the rear package tray area, then applied corroless to all of these areas.Being sure to use in well ventillated area (outside on clear summer day)and using a good paint respirator a must.It turned out very nice and I didnt have to topcoat it. A few years later I pulled the carpet up to check on it and it looked as good as the day I first applied it.I also used it on another 69 Chevelle on the front part of the frame , preped it and applied corroless on it (2 good coats) and 2 years later I was under the car and had noticed that some of it had flaked off. That car is used as my daily driver in snow also being in West Virgina. I have also used the POR-15 floor and trunk restoration kit and it turned out very well also. But I'll have to say that I liked the POR-15 better especially the POR-15 silver. It highlights every thing that you painted better than the POR-15 black and tat way you can always see whats going on that way.The stuff just looks stronger, like it would hold up better wherever its applied. The Corroless goes on easier, but takes more of it to cover. I just painted my floor pans and package tray area this summer, and also removed the rear windshield and cleaned, preped and painted it also with the POR-15 Silver (3 coats everywhere), and they all turned out nicely. I think when I do the frame off on the 68 Chevelle, that I'll definetly use the POR-15 BECAUSE I like the way it looks , the silver really highlights, and I just feel better about using it more than I have using any other stuff . Experiment, Use what you feel good about and what you see holding up or not providing whatever you use is applied properly according to manufactures instructions. Hope this helps Cody. Thanks Mark
By the Way Mike 72 SS , I saw your pic. of your Chevelle up on the wooden body dolly. GREAT IDEA MIKE
