I Know That This Is Probably A Stupid Question But I Really Dont Know What It Does. If It Does Change It To A Posi, Then What Are The Rearend Reqirments To Be Able To Install One

A posi unit transmits power to both rear tires simultaneously. It "effectively" locks both rear axles together. What we call an "open" axle only transmits power to one rear axle.

To install one you need the appropriate tools and the knowledge to set up the ring and pinion interface once you swap your "open" carrier for a "posi" carrier.
