I've exhausted all the local resourses trying to find how the amp guage wiring harness hooked up at the voltage regulator, and how the shunt or resistor was used. In actuality, I'm working on a '64 Nova SS but am hoping the Chevelle was using the same system in the '64 SS.

Any help will be great!

Your correct. The chevelle diagram show it, the chevy II diagram does not.

Thanks!!!!!!!! That's the one I needed. All the Chevy II diagrams show just the idiot light version that I'd found so far, as do the above links. The link for the '64 Chevelle shows the SS gauges as well as the idiot lights, and the wire colors match my amp meter harness.

My next step is to find the correct shunt, which I'll assume may be the same part as the Chevelle, and as such, II times easier to find.
