Hi i was thinking if I got the 66 tail light panel rear trunck panel and all the trim and parts do you think that it would be hard to convert a 67 to having the 66 tails. I like the look of thr 66 better and was considereing trying the swap what do you guys think.

Yeah, it would work if you switch out the tail panel. Lot of work though. I kinda like the 66 front and the 67 rear too. Could just get a 67 and switch front clips easier.

Dont ruin a good 67! I hate the 66 rear, if I had to choose between a 66 and nothing at all, I would seriously comtemplate nothing at all.

I know what you mean, if I had to choose between a 67 with a 283 and walking, I would probably drive a ford.

The 66 is the best looking (well, maybe I am a little biased http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif)...

Should be straight forward as the 1/4 panels, etc are the same...

Its a lot of work though. Its your car, but people will always look at it funny...

I've considered doing the opposite on my elky, I don't like '66 elky taillights. I can say that though, because I own one http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm still tossing around the idea of smoothing it and putting '68 Impala taillights in my bumper. (only 2 per side, not 3)

I'm thankful for all you guys who don't like 66 rears. Just let me know where i can come pick up all those ugly ole 66's you don't like. Come to think of it, i wish i was the only one who did like 66's.

Let's see hear.......two nearly identical cars with different tail lights and grills and one is butt ugly and the other is perfect. Sounds a little narrowly focused to me. I like the 66 front and the 67 rear myself but if we all want to agree we can compare them to a 68! Ouff da! Ouch!!!

I'm sure glad everyone don't like the exact same thing

"different strokes for different folks"

Personally, I like the 66 myself (second after the 69 of course) if I ever get a 66 I'll leave it like it is and if I ever get another 67 I'll leave it alone too

But the 71-72 really has the best looking rear I'm tempted to put a 71-72 bumper and tail lights on my 70
