I have a 1984 Elcamino that I love to death and when I dented it in the driver side by the back wheel-well it just about killed me. It's about in the middle of the panel and it's about the size of Frisbee or so. I really don't want to use a dent puller cause I want to use as little bondo as possible but if it comes down to that, I will... I'm not sure what to do. Can some one help me please!

What about those "Paintless Dent Removal" People?? I haven't heard anything bad about the process? And could save you body and paint work???

If you don't plan on doing a lot of body repair for the fun of it, I'd say have it repaired at a shop. That dent may be able to be spushed out from the inside of the box under the floor of you "EL". But if it can't I wouldn' even think of using a "dent puller" (that is if you are refering to the punch or drill a hole in the metal and pull it out with a slide hammer tool) There are may things to use now like a stud gun or spot welder with slide hammer attachment. These tools don't put a hole and the metal is repaired instead of damaged more! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I don't know how bad the dent is, but did you try a suction cup type puller.(toilet plunger) http://www.chevelles.com/forum/rolleyes.gif Might be worth a try.

The plunger idea might work I have done that before so it be worth a try to try it. The spot weld puller works great, thats what we use to pull dents out, then you have to use very little filler. Hope this helps.

Yeah I tryed to suction cup and and toilet plunger but I guess the dent is to bad. So I guess my last resort is to find a body shop or try to spot welder puller.

I have another question, I was wanting to strip the crome trim off around the bottom. I took one peice off and it had the little nails sticking of the body where it held the crome. What would be the best way about getting them off, cutting them, Grinding them?
