Convertor sounds like a good match with that cam.

Thanks for the help, have you ever used one of the Jegs convertors? I am woundering how close they actually are as far as stall speed?

Depends on how much money uo want to spend and if this will be a dedicated bracket car or a dual purpose street/strip car. The Jeg's converter is probably going to be ~.20 slow compared to an 8" converter built for you combo. That 10" is still on the tight side. Idealy your combo will want a converter to flash around 4700-4800 rpm's maybe more. Also, all these 10" converters built with anti balooning plates is just overkill. They add unneeded weight unless you actually plan on spraying your engine. I ran a TCI 10" "race converter", much like this Jeg's converter you are looking at, for a few years before it finally broke a fin off and laid a few others over. They are not built nearly as good as a truly dedicated all out race converter. Also bracket racing is all about consistency and there is a lot of that to be found in a looser converter;) . The tighter the RPM range is throughout the run(i.e. keeping the engine from dropping too many rpm's on the shift, ideally around 1000 rpm's or so) the less suscpetable the engine will be to variation throughout a run.

We have a Jeg's 10" 3200 that flashes to about 3900 with an Olds 350
