I'm using some "rattle cans" to do some touch up on various parts and I'm getting the "orange peel" or "alligator skin" coat rather than a smooth even coat. What am I doing wrong and how do I correct it. Maybe poor prep, wrong technique, wrong temp/humidity?

Before painting anything,a good wipe down with "Prepsolve" (available even at Pep Boys)
